The Last Day at Disneyland

Today was our last day at Disneyland Anaheim.

Throughout every minute of the last 9 days I have never forgotten the reason of why we are here.
It is not just because of the fact that Amelia is sick.
I also know that the only reason we are here is because of the love and kindness of many, many people.
We would never have been able to come if everyone did not establish and then support the Amelia's Project group.
So from the very, very bottom of my heart and with many tears I thank each and every one of you.

In the last 9 days we have been so very fortunate to have been given the most wonderful, life changing experience.
We have memories that will never change.
We have had smiles, laughs and fun.

I am so very happy and proud that all of you have shared this amazing experience with us.
And even though we are all so very tired and exhausted we have definately had the time of our lives.

Thank you just does not seem enough...........

Today Amelia, Tom and I went back to Disneyland for one last visit.
I sent a text message to Scott "do not know when we will be back. Having too much fun".
And we did.

Here are some photo's from the last 9 days........

One of the many buses driving around Anaheim (a suburb like Langwarrin).

The night that Tom, Stuart and I went to watch the most amazing fireworks display I have ever seen.

An idea of the crowd leaving after the fireworks. VERY BUSY. But look around. Disneyland is gorgeous at night time.

Another bus. Just LOVE the way that every single one is painted.

Tom and I waiting for the "Buzz Lightyear" ride. AND it was so much fun !!!

Our 3D glasses ready to shoot those darts at those targets. (Just for the record I BEAT TOM !!!!).

After 40 minutes waiting, we are finally there.
Tom and I had 2 nights one our own.
We had so much fun going on everything he wanted to !!!!

In California Adventure Park (100 metres from Disneyland) we were waiting for the Wonder of Colour show to begin. We had to line up and wait 1 hour. It was well worth the wait. And we got to look at amazing things like this Ferris Wheel.

And then it began and went for 30 minutes.
They create a picture on the water, like it is a projector screen.
I had tears in my eyes, amazed at how clever people can be.
Oh and Amelia was thrilled that Ariel constantly appears.
And for those who "know" Amelia she was very brave when the fire happens at the end.
Amelia's comment at the end "That was AWESOME!!!!".

and again.

Waiting for the free shuttle bus at our hotel.

Outside our hotel, The Hyatt Regency. Highly recommend it.

And again......

After buying our "Mickey Mouse" ears.

Too cute.....

On the ferry ride at Disneyland.

And Mr Tom...

Halloween is as BIG as Christmas this year (and I am not joking). Approx 3 night a week you have to leave Disneyland by 7pm unless you have a Halloween ticket during October. The people arriving in their costumes are unbelieveable.

As we were leaving for the "last time" the kids HAD to go on a Merry-go-round.

And Mr Tom.....

And this is our shuttle bus area outside Disneyland (about 1/4 of the whole bus area).

You only live once.
A life is not meant to be all about mortgages and working.
Sometimes you need to step outside of the norm.......

Now on to Las Vegas...........

Our Beautiful Princess and Knight in Shining Armor.... (Warning : Possible Tearjerker )

Today Amelia and Tom were taken to a magical place where everyone gets a Fairy Godmother.
She takes you through the shop and you choose ANYTHING you would like to tranform you into a Princess or Knight.
Very emotional for Scott and I.
The time and effort put into both children was remarkable.
Then we went to Ariel's Grotto for brunch.
Amelia and Tom LOVED the experience and so did we.

Tom getting ready to be "Transformed"

The Magical Room

Tom and his mohawk !!!!

Tom looing into the "magic" mirror

They kept calling him "Sir Knight Tom. He was so proud !!!

Now it is Amelia's turn......

After choosing the "Cinderella" dress, she had her hair done.

And a Princess ALWAYS needs a crown.

And nails need to be painted.

Make up was next...

All finished, now for the magic mirror.

Our Beautiful Princess.

Now we need to walk through the woods to get to our carriage.

The carriage ride Miss Princess and Sir Knight.

And off to the Ball.

Princess Belle at Ariel's Grotto.

Aurora.......

Beautiful Cinderella

Amelia and Tom with Ariel.

One of the Portraits we get to keep.
Our little Princess.

Every little girl wants to be a Princess.
Today so many people bowed to Amelia and told her how beautiful she looked.
Tom also had an amazing time.
Both children had the BIGGEST smiles on their faces.

Now we are leaving to go to World of Colour.

Day 4 - 7

Hi everyone,
My posts are going to return to the way that they were.
It DEFINATELY does not mean I am forgeting what has happened to my beautiful friend, Kel Wintle.
I will never forget her.
It means that I am continuing with "the trip of a lifetime" as a family.
I know that once we return I will do everything I can to help her husband and children.

Life is so very short and can be taken from you at anytime.

I am going to enjoy every moment of this amazing trip so that I can look back on these memories forever.......or maybe just add them to an album of many.......

Tigger !!!!!

Chip....or was it Dale ??!!

Outside the entrance to Disneyland (people from Sydney took this photo and we did vice versa for them).

Before we went on the Ariel ride.
Amelia got off and said "can we do it again??!!".

And then Amelia had to "deck herself out in everything Ariel !!".

Today we drove to Los Angeles with Ann to see Hollywood and Hannah Mermaid.
Both Scott and I were shocked with the amount of homeless people on the streets.
Heartbreaking.

Tomorrow.......the princess and knight experience, breakfast with the princesses and the World of Colour show.

Love to you all.
