Tired

Last nights Amelia Project Meeting was HUGE !!!!
Lots of people, lots of discussion, organising and plans.
To tell you the truth, I was a bit shocked.
Third meeting and so many people.
I am still waiting for everyone to realise they have done their "fair share" and stop contributing.
There is a waiting list for tins, a waiting list for Amelia's Night on June 11th and I wonder whether Karingal MacDonalds can hold the amount of people attending on May 17th!
And that is just to name a few things happening. I did not even mention the sausage sizzles occuring over the coming weeks.
But I do find the meetings very mentally and physically draining. Apparently no one else does but when it is all centred around your family and you are worrying about how much time people are putting in, it weighs you down.
But I do have a secret.
I have about 8 people that I need to find seats for.
Stressing me a bit. Forgot that I had promised them seats.
It will all work out, won't it ???!!!!

Flight centre was exciting.
The cost of the flights is at an all time high so we have to wait for "sales" and once one airline reduces their costs, the rest will follow suit.
But talking about our "plans", hotels, time spent and the weather at that time of year. It made me very excited.
We are actually going to do this!

But right now Amelia and I are looking forward to tomorrow night.
What was going to be a "grown up girls sleeper over night" - with lots of alcohol, has now turned into a mother / daughter "royal wedding extravaganza!!!"
I just got home from the shops where I bought our tiara's. Now to find the pearls, pretty dresses and make up!
It is going to be so much fun!!

Anyway had a great impromptu meeting with the school today and Amelia is loving being back with her friends (which includes some staff members!).

End of Holidays.

I really hate the end of school holidays.
We have had so much fun and got along so well (except when everyone stayed away from me on my 2 bad mood days!) and now it is back to busy, busy, busy.

Yesterday we were treated to a special day with Emma and Chris Hull. We drove down to their campsite 1hour away and had the best time. Such a beautiful place and so peaceful.
The hospitality was awesome and our kids have memories to last a long time.
Tom went into the river, fully clothed, up to his shoulders and played like that for hours.
Amelia floated down the river in a raft and couldn't stop giggling.
We walked, ate, rode bikes and just relaxed.
I put our names down for one of the cabins next Easter (I don't do camping!).
And the gorgeous owners, after meeting us, gave us a voucher for June 11th.
The kids are already planning the next trip down there!

Today we caught up with friends that we have known for a very looooong time.
They have just finished building the most beautiful house in the most gorgeous area. The pool and alfresco area were unbelieveable. The all white furniture caused a bit of stress for us, mainly with Tom!

But now I pack the school bag, make lunches and get up very early again.

At least I have my first formal appointment tomorrow about booking DISNEYLAND !!!!!
Very excited.

Easter

I have a new addiction.
In the last few days we have had 3 open fires!
I am now comparing it to marijuana (even though it has been a long time since I had any of that!).
I relax and sit.
Being a "busy" person, never resting, it has been wonderful.
And the kids love it.
They sit their camping chairs in front of it. They watch TV, play DS or bring the laptop to the coffee table and don't move. They don't whinge, fight or complain.
This Easter weekend has been wonderful.

Unfortunately Amelia's A-T has not been good though.
I can only say that I have never seen her this bad.
Hopefully it is not permanent and will improve soon.
To think that the word "degenerative" was never in my vocabulary before December 2010.

Happy Easter Everyone.
Tell those close to you how much you love them.
